At Banak we feel very committed to the environment, that is why we have been carrying out an ambitious project for more than a decade planting more than 1,000,000 trees as a reforestation action.
Respect and care for the environment is the mark we want to leave on future generations. The manufacture of furniture is an activity that directly affects the environment. We are aware of this and for this reason, our commitment to the planet goes beyond a mere long or medium-term project, it is a way of life and work.
We carry out different initiatives to reduce the environmental impact from the beginning of the value chain. A fundamental requirement for us is that our partners are aware of the environment. In fact, we certify that the wood of all our furniture is of legal and sustainable origin through certificates such as FSC, Flegt, etc.
Since 2012, at Banak we have had several ecological collections: Nordic, Fiord and Nusa, among others, all of them manufactured manually by expert craftsmen with reclaimed wood. In addition , we try to avoid varnishes because they prevent the wood from breathing. We prefer to use natural waxes, dyes and oils because it is open pore, since the pieces treated with oils
Our new Nusa collection fills us with pride because it is made entirely from tree branches. In this way, we maximize the use of raw materials and minimize felling of trees.

At the same time, from Banak we work to minimize the presence of CO2 in the atmosphere, to avoid the greenhouse effect and consequently global warming, the increase in intense storms and droughts.
We have given a second life to more than 20 million pieces of furniture throughout our history thanks to the opening of our Banak Outlet stores. In addition, we have expert cabinetmakers who recondition manually the furniture that has passed through the exhibitions of our stores or has been used in our photo or video sessions.
Thanks to this initiative we have all managed to conserve the life of a forest with an area equivalent to 400 football fields.

At Banak, we have an extensive network of stores. In fact, we are the largest natural style furniture brand with the largest network of stores in Spain. We are aware that optimizing and moderating energy consumption in each of our sales points directly affects pollution. Therefore, in the lighting of all our stores, LED bulbs are used.
At the same time, all our Banak points of sale have installed recycled cardboard bins to be able to recycle materials such as plastic and cardboard.
